Yin Yoga

Leona will be offering a Yin Yoga Class every Sunday. This Class will be focusing on deeply restorative practices that emphasizes on long held passive postures in the body’s connective tissues, such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Unlike more dynamic styles of yoga, Yin Yoga focuses on stillness and gentle stretching, allowing the body to relax, and release tension over time. This allows emotions that have been stagnant to release, and move the energy that is stuck. Poses are typically held for 3-5 mins (or longer) to encourage deep flexibility, mindfulness, a chance to pause, and to go deeper into the body. This class encourages a meditative approach, inviting participants to cultivate patience, and presence through awareness, and breath. This practice helps to enhance circulation, improve joint health, cultivate a sense of calm and relaxation. Making it ideal for those seeking stress relief, emotional balance, or a quiet space for introspection.
